Mason is 5 Months Old

So this weekend was very special to our little family.  On Saturday, Mason turned 5 Months old and he was baptized in the Catholic Church.  What a huge blessing for our family!!  It was very bittersweet because Mason was baptized in the same church that Ryan and I were married in and that we had Tyler's funeral.  The last time we were in that specific church was for Tyler's funeral.  As Mason was getting baptized, I was just in awe of his innocence.  The way he looked at Father Tony, the way he smiled at the joy of his family members.  Mason has brought me so much joy, joy that I never thought I would be able to have again.  I did however have flash backs to Tyler's funeral and to the way that I sobbed uncontrollably as Ryan and I were asked to sprinkle Holy Water on Tyler's casket.  I also fell a sense of regret that we were never able to share the Lord with Tyler, but I do know that one day in Heaven Tyler will share the Lord with me.

I am so thankful for all that Tyler has taught me over the last year and a half.  I know he is always watching over Mason and I hope Tyler knows that he has made me a better mother for Mason.

I can't wait to share Mason's baptism pictures when I get them.  It was a very special event for our family and close friends.  We love Mason so much.  I will share what he is now starting to do in his 5 month very soon :).
